I am interested in people's affectations. It fascinates me that an individual's carriage and posturing tends to be directly related to their role in society. I am trying to quantify the particular expression in each of my subjects that gives a glimpse into their appraisal of their own worth.

I paint on canvas using acrylics, casein, mica and gold leaf. I am love the way the Baroque painters and many  captured extreme contrasts between light and dark using golds and blacks. I am working toward this goal with modern neon, pearl, metallic and mica colors.
